Pioneer Park Historical Complex is always looking for help!
There are two ways to work at the Museum Complex
Volunteer:
Flexible volunteer opportunities include everything from working on short term projects such as simple cleaning, maintenance, and restoration, to staffing one of our four staffed buildings.
Paid Staff:
PPHC employs a number of PAID STAFF during the season, to work in any of our four staffed buildings. The Logging Museum and Gift Shop, the Rural Oneroom Schoolhouse, the CCC Museum, and the Railroad Museum. Some staff choose to rotate through these buildings as needed, or specialize in one building or another based on their interest in the history each building provides.
Duties include, daily light cleaning (sweeping, dusting, etc). Maintaining supervision and organization of museum materials etc.. Greeting visitors, sharing information, and being available to answer questions of visitors.
Each building includes a desk and comfortable chair to use as a staff post. The work is fun, laid back, and enjoyable for everyone from young folks to retirees.
Flexible scheduling based on operating hours and need. Work once a week, or more depending on desire and availability.
